In his course, War in the Modern World, Dr Alex Dracobly asked students to think about the many factors influencing the accuracy of early gunpowder weapons. In order to illustrate the issues and increase student engagement, Dr. Dracobly asked Interactive Media to create a battle simulation in which students needed to decide when a musketeer should shoot at his opponent. Factors which had to be integrated into this simulation were the speed of the opponent on horseback, the speed of loading the weapon, the speed of the bullet when fired and the bullet trajectory over distance.
